Original mandala artwork by Ramona Snow Teo. This design was created in honor of the bees, who we depend on for our natural world to function. Without pollinators, plants would struggle to reproduce and our ecosystem would fall apart. In the past decade, bee populations have been severely threatened by the side effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, mono-cropping and industrial bee keeping strategies. In order to bring our world back into balance, we need to save the bees. We can do this by planting lots of native wildflowers, caring for our own local bee hives, reducing reliance on honey as a sweetener, and voting with our dollars for all things organic, local, and sustainable.
