Natural & Healing Properties of Selenite: A form of gypsum crystal, selenite is naturally formed on every continent in the world. It is a soft & easy to carve stone, partially translucent & white in color, with long striations running the length of its form. Selenite is named after the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene. It has a stabilizing, balancing and cleansing energy, and is a useful aid in accelerating the process of manifestation. A selenite crystal can be used to comb the energy field of a person, place or object to remove lingering negativity, anxiety or trauma and restore clarity and tranquility. This powerful stone brings clarity of mind and activates the seventh chakra, Sahasrara, which is our direct link to the Spirit. Meditating with selenite can assist in connecting with your higher-self, spirit guides, angels, spirit animals, etc. Place your selenite under your pillow at night so that you can better absorb its energy and knowledge.
About the Artwork: Created by New Mexican visionary artist, Ramona Snow Teo, this design is inspired by dreams and the wisdom of the night. The centerpiece of the design is a woven dreamcatcher pattern. In Native American traditions it is believed that light and dark forces try to enter the dreams of the people. The dreamcatcher is used to dispel negative dreams and channel the good dreams to the dreamer. It is a symbol of protection, bringing light to the dark of night. Cradling this image is a crescent moon and an outer circle consisting of the complete phases of the moon waxing and waning, through new moon and full moon. The lunar cycle imagery reminds us of the natural ebbs and flows of our energy which align with the changes of the moon in relationship to our Earth. We are inseparable from nature and our place within the cosmos.
